If you buy something using our services, we'll need your payment details like your credit or debit card number. Remember, anything you post, like pictures or videos, can be saved or shared by others who see it. So, think carefully before you post something – don't put up anything you wouldn't want others to keep or pass around. If you talk to our Support team or contact us in any way, we'll keep a record of the information you share or what we need to help answer your questions.
Information We Get When You Use Our Services
When you use our services, we keep track of which ones you use and how you use them. For example, we might note that you checked out a certain x-posé, viewed an ad for a while, and explored our maps. Let me break down the types of info we collect:

We gather details about your activities, like:
Which x-posés you’ve watched and your interactions with our feature.
How you share with others, when, and how often.

When you create and share content like x-posés, we collect information about what you make and how you use our camera and microphone. This includes things like the date and time you posted something and who saw it.

We collect data from your devices, such as:
Type and specs of your device, what apps you have, unique identifiers, and your browsing info.
Info from your device's sensors and about your internet connection, like your phone number and network strength.
Contacts and Camera Access
We might ask to access your contacts and your device’s camera and microphone,
but only with your permission.

When you visit our website, we collect log data, like how you use our services, your device info, which pages you visit, and more.
Additional Information with Permission
Sometimes we might ask for extra info, for instance, for special features or in regions with specific data laws.
Information from Third Parties
Sometimes, we get information about you from other people, different companies, and outside sources. Here's how that works:
If you connect your account with us to another service (like a different app or feature), we get info from that service, like how you're using it.
We get info from advertisers and app creators, which helps us make sure ads are relevant and working well.
When someone you know uploads their contacts to our service, we might mix the info they have about you with what we already know.
If you give us your contact details, we might use that, along with info from others, to figure out the best way to message you on different platforms.
We also get information from other websites, social media, the police, and other sources. This helps us check if anyone's breaking our rules.
Using the Information
We use the information we collect in several ways to make our products and services better for you. Here's a quick overview:
Develop and Maintain: We work on developing, running, improving, and protecting our products and services.
Advertise Smarter: We personalize and enhance our ads based on things like your location (if you're okay with sharing that) and your activity, both on our services and on other apps and websites.
Make X-Lit More Relevant: For instance, we use your location to suggest places.
Personalize Your Experience: We suggest friends, tailor the content you see (including ads), and use your activity to guess what you might like.
Improve Our Tech: We're always working on better algorithms and machine learning to make our services smarter and safer.
Research: We study how people use X-Lit to understand trends and what users like.
Communicate With You: We might use your info to talk to you on other platforms.
Safety and Security: We use your information to keep our services secure and to check your identity.
Cookies and Other Tech: These help us make your experience better.
Enforce Our Rules: We keep an eye out for anyone breaking our terms and work with law enforcement when needed.
Keep You Updated: We might send you messages about our services or offers we think you'll like.
Analyze Trends: We look at trends and how people use our services.
Apple's TrueDepth Camera: If you have an Apple device, we might use its camera for better quality, but we don't store or share this data.
Sharing the Information
We share the information we collect for different reasons. Often, it's because you've asked us to. Other times, we must do it for our services to work right. Here's how we might share your info:
Sharing with Other Users
Your Basic Info: Things like your username and profile picture.
Your Activity: How you use our services, who you're friends with, and your recent activity. This helps others know how you're connected to the service.
Device Info: To make sure things like pictures show up correctly for you.
Your Directions: If you tell us to, like when you link your account to another app.
Your Location: If you choose to, we share your exact location in real-time with friends you select (only while you want to share it).
Your Posts: What you share depends on your settings. A message might go to just one friend, but an x-posé could be seen by anyone you allow.
Sharing Publicly
Public Information: Your public profile details, like your name and profile picture.
Public Posts: Things you share publicly, like certain x-posés or content, can be seen and shared by anyone.
With Our Partner Companies/Affiliates
We might share your info with our family of companies.
With Third Parties
Service Providers: We share info with companies that help us run our services, like payment processing or ad targeting.
Business Partners: Information might be shared with partners who add features to our services.
For Security: We share information to prevent fraud and keep things safe.
Legal Reasons: If the law requires it or to protect our rights.
Mergers and Acquisitions: If our company is involved in a merger or sale, your info might be shared with the other company.
Non-Personal Info
We also share aggregated or non-identifiable info with others for business reasons.
Third-Party Content and Integrations
Our services include stuff from other companies, like features made by other developers. When you use these, you might be giving your information to both us and these outside companies. We don't control how these third-party companies use your info.
How Long We Keep Your Information
In X-Lit, we want you to enjoy the moment. That's why most of the pictures you send are deleted from our servers after they're opened or they expire. This happens automatically unless you've changed your settings or saved them. X-posés, on the other hand, are kept for a longer time.
We hold on to other information for a more extended period. This includes your basic account details, like your name, phone number, email, and friends list, until you tell us to delete them. The length of time we keep your location info depends on how detailed it is and which of our services you use. For example, if your location is linked to an x-posé, you’ve saved or shared on our map or public features, we'll keep that location info as long as we have the x-posé.
If you decide to stop using X-Lit, just let us know, and we can delete your account. We'll also get rid of most of the info we have about you if you haven't been active for a while.
It's important to remember that we aim to delete things on schedule, but sometimes it might take longer. We might need to keep data for legal reasons or if there's a report of misuse. In some cases, we might also keep certain information in backup for a limited time or as required by law.
Manage Your Information
We believe you should have control over your information. Here’s how you can manage it:
Access and Edit Your Info
In the App: You can look at and change most of your basic info right in our app.
Changing Permissions
In the App or Device Settings: You can withdraw the permissions you’ve given us. Just know that some features might not work as well without these permissions. If you don’t want our promotional messages, you can opt-out using the unsubscribe link in the messages.
Deleting Your Account
If you ever want to leave X-Lit, you can delete your account. You can also remove certain info from the app, like your profile picture.
Ad Preferences
We show ads we think you’ll like. If you want to change the info we use to pick these ads, you can do that in the app or your device settings.
Managing Communications
In the settings, you can choose who sees your x-posés, who can send you x-posés, and even block people if you need to.
International Data Transfers
We sometimes need to move your personal information across borders. This means we might collect, send, store, and handle your data in the United States and other countries outside where you live. We always make sure there are proper safeguards in place when we do this, especially when we share your data with third parties in other countries.
Your Local Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you might have specific privacy rights. For instance, people in California, the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, Brazil, South Korea, and other places have certain rights under their local laws.
Who Our Services Are For
Our services aren’t meant for anyone under 13. That's why we don't knowingly gather personal info from anyone under this age. For users under 18, we might limit how we collect, use, and keep their information, which could affect some features for these users.
Updates to Our Privacy Policy
We update our Privacy Policy occasionally. When we do, we'll let you know. Sometimes, we'll update the date at the top of the policy on our website and app. Other times, we might give you extra notice, like a message on our website or a notification in the app.
